If you’ve visited The Fleece Countryside Inn recently, you may have noticed a slightly smug spring in our step. Don’t worry, we’re not getting carried away (well… maybe just a little!).
Following our recent win at the I Do Wedding Awards, we’re absolutely thrilled to share some more exciting news.
The Fleece Countryside Inn has been nominated for The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) in the Best Wedding Venue – Yorkshire & North East category.
Now, if you’re not familiar with The Wedding Industry Awards, they’re widely regarded as one of the most respected and prestigious awards in the UK wedding industry. What makes them particularly special is that venues can’t simply rely on industry judges alone. The awards are driven by feedback from real couples who have experienced a venue firsthand.
Which is exactly why this nomination means so much to us.
The fact that couples who celebrated their wedding day with us took the time to nominate us is incredibly humbling. When you spend your days helping couples plan one of the most important moments of their lives, there’s no greater compliment than knowing they felt their experience was worthy of recognition.
So when we received the nomination, there was only one response: We’re going for it!
Not because we’re chasing trophies (although we’ll happily find somewhere to display one if we’re lucky enough to win), but because this nomination represents everything we work so hard to achieve.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed hundreds of couples through our doors, hosting around 120 weddings each year against the backdrop of our stunning Yorkshire countryside views. We’re incredibly proud of our two AA Rosettes, our beautiful venue and our reputation for exceptional food.
But more than anything, we’re proud of our people.
From your first enquiry through to your final dance, our wedding team is there every step of the way. Carrie, Lucy, Laura, Becky and Antonia work tirelessly behind the scenes to make wedding planning feel less overwhelming, less confusing and far more enjoyable. Through our online planning portal, personalised support and endless cups of tea, we aim to hold our couples’ hands throughout the entire journey.
The wonderful thing is that our reviews tell us we’re getting it right.
Time and time again, couples and guests mention the warmth of our team, the attention to detail, the incredible food and the genuine care shown throughout the planning process. We’re also incredibly proud of the fact that many members of our core wedding team have been with us for years. We believe that when you create a happy and supportive environment for your team, that positivity shines through in every wedding we deliver.
