Amy & Jordan’s Wedding at The Fleece
What started off civilised… escalated quickly.
Some weddings are beautifully calm from beginning to end.
And then there are weddings like Amy and Jordan’s.
A relaxed start, plenty of time spent with the people they love, a beautiful Yorkshire backdrop and all the little details coming together perfectly… followed by an evening that very quickly turned into one hell of a party.
And honestly? We’re here for it.
Amy and Jordan’s wedding at The Fleece was everything we love about a Fleece wedding: relaxed, personal, full of good people, great food and plenty of fun.

A wedding day that felt like them
From the moment the day got underway, there was a real sense that this wasn’t going to be a wedding filled with unnecessary formality.
It was about spending time together, enjoying the day and making the most of having everyone they loved in one place.
Set above the rolling Yorkshire countryside, The Fleece gives couples plenty of space to let the day unfold naturally — from the ceremony and drinks through to the wedding breakfast and the evening celebrations.
And that’s exactly what Amy and Jordan did.
The result was a day that felt effortlessly relaxed, but still looked beautifully considered.
The details
The team of suppliers brought everything together beautifully.
Matt Dean Photography captured the day, from the quieter moments to the moments where things became considerably less civilised.
Your Aisle Style helped bring the wedding styling together, creating a look that complemented The Fleece perfectly without taking away from the character of the space.
Florals came from Picalily Florist, adding those thoughtful seasonal touches throughout the day.
And then there was the cake from Cheryl Bottomley Cakes — because no good wedding is complete without something worth saving room for.
Together, the details created a wedding that felt personal rather than overly styled: beautiful, but still completely lived-in and ready to be enjoyed.
From wedding breakfast to party mode
There is something we particularly love about a wedding at The Fleece.
The day doesn’t have to feel like a series of separate events.
Ceremony. Drinks. Food. Speeches. Dancing.
It can just flow.
And for Amy and Jordan, that flow eventually took them from a lovely, relaxed wedding day into full party mode.
What started off fairly civilised soon escalated into a seriously fun evening, with friends and family throwing themselves into the celebrations.
The kind of evening where the dance floor gets busier, the drinks keep flowing and nobody seems particularly interested in checking what time it is.
Exactly as it should be.

A Yorkshire wedding with a view
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Fleece wedding without those views.
The countryside setting gives couples and their photographers plenty of opportunities to step outside and take it all in — whether that’s a few quiet minutes together, photographs with the landscape behind you or simply giving your guests somewhere beautiful to enjoy a drink.
It’s one of the things that makes a wedding here feel different.
You get the character and warmth of a countryside inn, combined with the space, views and atmosphere to make the day feel really special.
And, importantly, without it ever feeling too formal.
The Fleece way
Amy and Jordan’s day is a brilliant example of what we mean when we say we want weddings to feel like the people getting married.
There were beautiful details.
There was great food.
There were incredible photographs.
There were plenty of moments to remember.
But most importantly, there was a room full of people having a brilliant time together.
Because ultimately, that’s what a wedding is about.
Gathering the people you love most, feeding them well, giving them somewhere beautiful to celebrate — and then letting the good times take over.
Amy & Jordan, thank you for letting us be part of it.
And for proving once again that sometimes the best weddings are the ones that start off civilised… and escalate quickly.
